Tough-Seal™ PC Ultra

TOUGH-SEAL™ ULTRA is next generation TOUGH-SEAL™: still bulldog tough, but bred even better!
tough seal ultra label design

TOUGH-SEAL™ ULTRA 60 is a tough and durable longer working time low viscosity potting compound and sealant that flows like maple syrup around electrical components to ensure complete coverage of your entire PCB or electronic assembly.  Bulldog tough to endure over 2000 hours of rigorous reliability testing at 85C/85%, TOUGH-SEAL™ ULTRA, without any signs of degradation or change in hardness, making it an excellent choice for endless electronics applications.

Which TOUGH-SEAL™ is Right For You?

TOUGH-SEAL™ is a superior family of KEY sealants available in four standard formulations to fit a variety of potting applications. While all TOUGH-SEAL™ formulations are durable hybrid epoxy elastomers that grip and protect under the most aggressive conditions, they are available in a combination of properties that vary in hardness, gel-time, working time, and flow.

TOUGH-SEAL™ Comparison Table

TOUGH-SEAL™ ULTRA vs. Other Potting Compounds

TOUGH-SEAL™ ULTRA is a RoHS Compliant, easy-to-mix, two component durable hybrid epoxy elastomer that offers a unique combination of KEY properties not commonly found in just one potting compound. It offers the heat resistance of an epoxy, the flexibility of a urethane and the durable encapsulating protection of a silicone. TOUGH-SEAL™ ULTRA is not a urethane, so it is isocyanate-free and it is not moisture sensitive.

With exceptional flexibility at temperatures as low as -103°F (-75°C) and high temperature resistance up to 302°F (150°C). TOUGH-SEAL™ ULTRA grips in the cold, when other potting compounds contract, and maintains a tough seal in the heat, when other potting compounds wilt. TOUGH-SEAL™ ULTRA does not crack, so electronic components remain protected from moisture. When exposed to moisture, TOUGH-SEAL™ ULTRA also offers Anti-Microbial protection. TOUGH-SEAL™ ULTRA does not support fungal growth and meets the requirements of MIL-STD-810G Method 508.6.

With very low exotherm in large volume pours, extremely low shrinkage, and little to no expansion or contraction with temperature changes, TOUGH-SEAL™ ULTRA is gentler on sensitive circuitry, than hard epoxies, delivering low embedment stress upon cure and during thermal cycling.

TOUGH-SEAL™ ULTRA provides durable encapsulating protection that guards electrical components from exposure to the harmful effects of the environment better than typical epoxies, urethanes and silicones.
